In 2001, Ty combined his love of painting and teaching by opening his own gallery and teaching space at Prallsville Mill in Stockton, New Jersey. The gallery is housed in a historic former Linseed Oil Mill built in 1794 located along the Delaware River. The building also houses the "Art Colony" school which offers classes conducted by Ty and a number of other talented artists. Information on upcoming classes can be obtained by contacting the artist. The gallery is generally opened to the public on weekends and has become a destination for art lovers and many of Ty's students ans fellow artists.
